A mid-sized IT managed services company in the West Midlands was looking to find a 2nd / 3rd line support engineer with experience within the MSP industry, having reviewed in excess of 20 CVs and interviewed 4 potential candidates they were losing faith that the right candidate was out there. Their issues spanned from their partnered recruitment companies not understanding the business, their requirements and needs correctly.
George thoroughly worked through their requirement making sure he understood their needs and wants, whilst using his market knowledge (gained from working with the majority of the MSPs across the West Mids) to evaluate, advise and consult with them.
Leveraging his current candidate catchment for other roles and market knowledge George created a shortlist of 12 candidates which he whittled down to 4 fully qualified profiles who he felt best fit the brief; all of which had IT MSP experience, lived locally and were well invested in the opportunity.
The client was excited by the shortlist and concluded that three of the candidates were the best match to the brief. These initial telephone interviews were arranged for the following week, George managed the process by providing the client with calendar placeholders for the meetings.
From the three initial calls the client moved two candidates forward to a final stage interview which again George managed the process keeping the workload light for the client and making sure things moved forward smoothly.
The client concluded that both candidates were suitable and would fit the role, their hardest decision was picking which one! Upon offer George managed the process, assisted the candidate with handing his notice in and ensured a smooth transition into the new business.
