Are you an experienced Network Security Engineer looking for a new challenge?
Do you want to work for a true market leader with multiple sites across the UK, and a complex network infrastructure?

A high-growth online retail business are now looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their team as they move away from using an MSP to an in-house Infrastructure & Networking function.
As part of this process, they are updating their entire infrastructure and network using the latest technologies and security standards, and are looking for a Fortinet expert to support their company-wide rollout.
You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in the design, implementation and management, which will support their national multi-site business as they continue to grow.

Your Role:

  • Designing and implementing network security solutions to support the business as they transition from MSP to in-house.
  • Taking the lead in investigating network security issues.
  • Conducting network security risk assessments including PCI DSS, ISO:27001 and CSE.
  • Providing third line support for complex network incidents and problems
  • Being the subject expert and main point of escalation for all Fortinet related issues
  • Configuring routers, switches and wireless equipment (Cisco/Meraki)
  • Making suggestions to the wider business on how to improve network security

Your Profile:

  • Experience of design, implementation and support of Fortinet firewalls and ability to be the subject matter expert in this area.
  • Knowledge of designing, implementing and supporting Cisco and Meraki switches, routers and wireless equipment.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure Security (ACLs, ACS, V-LAN, VRF), Network Management Tools (SNMP, PRTG, Solarwinds).
  • Knowledge of MPLS, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Strong understanding and experience of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • CCNP Certified along with knowledge of achieving Cyber Security Essentials, PCI DSS and ISO:27001 compliance.
