Linux Sys Admin Leeds

You know your way around a Linux Server, get excited by improving performance and efficiency whilst getting your hands dirty!

You prefer a physical estate rather than one in someone else’s data-centre; your a hands-on kind of engineer.

Taking responsibility for supporting, improving, maintaining and expanding the server estate; you will work closely with the other technical teams from development, to tech support, to networking, to make sure things run smoothly.

Tech stack will include:

• Linux – Debian
• Saltstack for configuration management
• Scripting using Bash, Perl and Python
• MySQL Databases
• Monitoring the infrastructure using Zabbix
• Version Control – Git
• Docker for Containerisation
• CI/CD pipelines
• Vagrant

Supporting the development of the server estate and deployment of networks, infrastructure and software, you will be supporting a range of clients, client infrastructures and networks you will be involved with a varied selection of technologies working closely across build, support and improvement of the estate.

This is by no means a devops role but would give someone with significant Linux Systems administration experience the opportunity to work with containerisation, automation, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management and be involved with a business who are moving towards devops philosophies.
